Our Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery is a 3-year full-time program following the syllabus of Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNC). This program generates qualified and skilled nurses who can efficiently practice in a variety of settings in both of the public and private healthcare sector.
Here, students are supervised and guided by the nurse educators and professors of MCWH. They attain a wide range of opportunity to learn theoretically and practically as they are provided with the chance to obtain requisite nursing skills through serving the patients of MCWH as interns.
After completing this intensive training, they work to develop the health sector and contribute to improve the socio-economic structure of our country. In addition to attaining jobs in Bangladesh, many matriculated candidates find jobs abroad in similar fields.
I was a student of 2013-2014 batch of Nursing Institute, MCWH. When I started my journey
here I was very pleased to experience the warmth of the faculty and the environment. Guest
teachers from Medical College for Women and Hospital took our classes
... and we would
always look forward to learn new things from them. The senior students were very loving
who used to help us in studies and also supported us in everything while staying together at
the hostel. I am very proud to be an alumnus of MCWH Nursing Institute.

When I got myself admitted into Nursing Institute, I was really nervous about whether it was a
right decision or not. This was my first time away home so it was all very stressful to me. But
after some time, I realized it was the best decision of my life. I got every support that I needed
from my teachers and batch mates and the hostel had become a second home to me
... hostel life has changed me a lot. I have learned how to manage my time well and become
responsible and hardworking which would not have been possible without coming here. I am
now doing internship at MCW Hospital. This internship has created a great learning opportunity
to me because only higher education or practical knowledge alone cannot make one a welltrained nurse, it requires both. I am very lucky to have the opportunity and I am hopeful about
joining here as a nurse after completing my internship.
